Stopford Workshop Limited ‘spun out’ from the University of Manchester in 2008. With a good deal of help from the University of Manchester Incubator Company (UMIC), the entire contents of the Medical School workshops were transferred to a business incubator site in Stockport just south of Manchester.

We design and build scientific prototypes to test theories and ideas from conception through to manufacture. We can also repair and develop a wide range of laboratory equipment and industrial control systems.
